Alexis E. Rovzar was born in Mexico City in 1951. He earned his J.D. from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in 1975. Fresh out of law school, he co-founded a law practice, which is known today as Ritch Mueller, S.C.. He left his practice in 1987 and subsequently served on the boards of a number of companies, including Fomento Económico Mexico (FEMSA); Coca-Cola Femsa (KOF), the largest Coca-Cola bottler in the world outside of the U.S.; Grupo Bimbo, America's largest bakery and Mexico's most admired corporation, Grupo COMEX, the country's largest paint manufacturer.
In 1995, Rovzar founded the Mexico City office of White & Case, a leading global law firm with more than 1600
attorneys in 38 offices in 26 countries. Rovzar is also the former Chairperson of the Board of Governors at the IU Lilly Center on Philanthropy.
