Calvin Bellamy received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University, after which he earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, with honors.
Bellamy is recently retired from Krieg DeVault. He served as partner with Krieg DeVault’s financial institutions, and specialized in estate planning and business practices. Prior leadership experience includes serving as CEO, president and chairman of Bank Calumet and Bank Calumet, Inc., for over two decades. Bellamy has also written numerous articles on constitutional law, business succession planning and banking issues.
Bellamy remains one of Northwest Indiana’s most active leaders and is involved in numerous community organizations. He currently serves as a member of the IU northwest chancellor’s board of advisors; chancellor’s commission on community engagement, and the advisory board of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA). Bellamy received IUN’s Chancellor and Provost Medallion, and in 2019, was awarded Indiana University’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of his distinguished contributions and longstanding support.
