W. Sue Robinson is a Bloomington-native who earned her B.S. in Education from the IU Bloomington School of Education in 1955. While a student she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. The daughter of IU alumnus William Hiram (B.M. and M.A. from the IU School of Music), she was grew up with an appreciation and passion for the arts. Robinson has supported the On Your Toes Fund, to cover expenses of pointe ballet shoes for students exhibiting financial need as well as other ballet efforts. She provided a generous gift to the Ballet Production Fund in 2003 to help produce an all new “Cinderella” ballet, which became the largest ballet ever produced at the time. She has also established the William and Marcia Fox Scholarship in Music and the William and Marcia Fox Scholarship in Education, both in loving memory of her parents. She serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for IU Libraries. As a devoted alumna and in recognition of her continuous generosity, IU Foundation presented Sue with the Presidents Circle Laurel Pin in 2013.
