After graduation from medical school in 1993, Doctor Sevilla practiced medicine in Honduras as a general practitioner for four years. This included a year of work with an ambulatory clinic, providing care for the Lenca tribes in the mountains of Honduras. He has lead the Global Health and International Medicine ENLACE program of the department of Family Medicine at IUSM with inclusion of local and overseas components; Doctor Sevilla has been an advisor for the GHSIG since 2003 and mentored several students and residents with Global Health service and research projects that have been presented at National and International conferences.
