About Susan E. Habegger

Susan “Sue” Habegger, along with her late husband, E. Dale Habegger, M.D., has generously supported the Indiana University School of Medicine for many years. Sue was a dedicated surgical nurse that met her husband while Dale was also pursuing his passion for medicine.

Sue and Dale have touched many lives through their generosity at the IU School of Medicine. Together, they established the E. Dale and Susan E. Habegger Chair in Surgery and a student scholarship also under their name. Further, they have made planned gifts and endowments to the school.

Sue enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading. Her extended family consists of nine children, 24 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

In 2016, IU Foundation recognized the couple's generosity and presented Sue with the Presidents Circle Laurel Pin.
