Robyn Wiegman is a professor of literature and women's studies at Duke University, and an internationally recognized scholar in feminist studies, American studies and critical race studies. She has published two books, Object Lessons (2012) and American Anatomies: Theorizing Race and Gender (1995), and has edited numerous anthologies. In addition to her regular faculty appointments, Wiegman has co-directed the Dartmouth Institute for the Futures of American Studies and taught master's level short courses in Australia, England, Norway, Ireland, and Canada.
Wiegman earned a B.A. in English, a certificate in women's studies, and an M.F.A. in poetry from Indiana University. She received a Ph.D. in English from the University of Washington.
