About Willis Hickam

Willis Hickam was a lawyer in the Hickam & Lorenz law firm in Spencer, IN. After graduating law school in 1918, he joined his father and brother at the family law firm until he fell ill in the 1920s and took a hiatus. After he regained his health, Hickam was able to reopen the office in 1929 and was a partner until his death in 1978. The law firm has continued on after his death and remains in Spencer today.

In addition to his law career, Hickam was active in the IU community, having served as the president of its Board of Trustees from 1959 to 1966.
