About P. Kent Hawryluk

Kent Hawryluk is a proud School of Science alumnus whose philanthropy is rooted in a deep belief in student perseverance and opportunity. As a biotechnology entrepreneur, he understands the challenges many students face and established the Hawryluk Family Scholarship to support juniors and seniors working their way through school while balancing jobs and family responsibilities. His gift focuses on helping students complete the “last mile” of their undergraduate education—often the difference between stopping short and earning a degree. Kent has also expanded his impact through support of the Rhodes Legacy Scholars at the School of Science, further strengthening pathways to success. His generosity reflects a strong commitment to building Indiana’s future STEM workforce by investing directly in students with determination and potential. We are deeply grateful for Kent’s vision and for the life‑changing opportunities he continues to create at Indiana University Indianapolis.
