Local Initiatives Support Corporation Indianapolis is the local office of the country's largest community-development corporation dedicated to transforming distressed neighborhoods into healthy and sustainable communities.

Great Places 2020, an initiative of LISC, is a visionary community-development project to transform strategic places in Marion County into dynamic centers of culture, commerce and community in preparation for the state's bicentennial anniversary. The IUPUI Office of Community Engagement has received more than $100,000 in the last two years to support the development of the River West Great Place.
