About Strack & Van Til

Strack & Van Til is a well-known grocery store with locations in Northwest Indiana. They offer a full service of groceries and fresh food from 6 am to 10 pm every day. The store was founded in the late 1950s when Ernie Strack and Nick Van Til, who owned separate grocery stores in the area, joined forces to create a more exciting shopping experience for customers. They are proud to be Indiana Made and to have served the community for 60 years. Strack & Van Til is committed to customer satisfaction and delivering valuable nutrients every day on quality perishables, and freshly prepared food. Their outstanding work is worthy of credit, as they will remain one of the most influential and productive grocery stores in not only Northwest Indiana but the entire state.

In acknowledgment of their support to the Northwest Indiana community through the food service they provide, Strack & Van Til was presented an IU Northwest Chancellor and Provost Medallion by William J. Lowe in 2016.
