A resident of Indianapolis, Kathryn Koehler earned a Master of Public Affairs degree from IUPUI in 1998. She has more than two decades of experience working with public, nonprofit and private organizations. In 2010, she founded Koehler Partners, an Indianapolis-based consulting firm specializing in team building, program evaluation, project management, public outreach, training and technical assistance. Koehler's clients include Conduent, Crowe Horwath LLP, EmployIndy, the Indiana State Department of Health, the Indianapolis-Marion County Information Services Agency and the Maryland State Department of Education. She had previously been employed with Crowe Horwath LLP for ten years.
In addition to her consulting work, Koehler has served as interim director of School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) executive education program and the IU Public Policy Institute. She has frequently been invited to speak to SPEA classes and students, served as an adjunct professor, and recently completed her term as board president for the IU SPEA Alumni Association. Koehler is an active community volunteer and serves as board chair for Covering Kids and Families of Indiana. She also serves as a member of the board of Reach for Youth.
