Dr. Karl Gossweiler was born in Germany in 1930. He is a survivor of polio and World War II, along with the harsh conditions that followed the war. He immigrated to the United States in 1955, and graduated from the IU School of Dentistry in 1961. He then opened a general dentistry practice in Speedway that served the community for over fifty years.
While in practice, Dr. Gossweiler helped to establish the Westside Study Club. He served as president of the Indianapolis District Dental Society in 1985. Three of his sons attended the IU School of Dentistry and currently practice in Indianapolis.
