Liz Van Tassel, along with Michael Gadus, leads in helping women with breast cancer live longer, healthier lives. In 2008, Liz's long-time friend, Mary Beth Gadus (Michael's wife), founded 100 Voices of Hope, an innovative program with the goal of annually funding a $100,000 research project in metastatic breast cancer at the IU Simon Cancer Center. When Mary Beth passed away in August 2016 after a nearly 30-year battle with breast cancer, Liz and Michael determined to carry on Mary Beth's legacy by continuing the 100 Voices of Hope.
100 Voices of Hope has raised $1.5 million, funding 13 research projects in metastatic breast cancer. Everything 100 Voices of Hope has made possible can be attributed to Mary Beth's passion for research. Her legacy continues to inspire Liz and Mike and fuels their commitment to the program she founded.
