Academic Credentials: Charles M. Beasley Jr. is current founder and president of Beasley Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Consulting, LLC. After attending The Sayre School in Lexington, Kentucky he went on to receive his bachelor’s in psychology from Yale University. He completed his internship in the Department of Psychiatry, Yale University School of Medicine and completed his residency in general psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati in 1987. Beasley began his career in clinical psychiatric research in 1987 when he joined Eli Lilly and Company. He ascended within the company to the most senior title within the Lilly academic track, Distinguished Lilly Scholar. Throughout his career, Dr. Beasley published 100 peer reviewed journal articles. Together they amassed a significant collection originally kept in their home library. After consultation, they chose IU’s Lilly Library as the perfect home for their collection with was donated in 2008. Through his support of the Lilly Library, Beasley was inducted into the President’s Circle at the IU Foundation.
