Marcy L. Cook earned her B.S. in Business from the School of Business at Indiana University in 1995. Marcy worked as a corporate income tax accountant for Cook Group, where she met her future husband, Carl. She has operated Elliemae’s Boutique, named for her great grandmother, since 2008. Marcy incorporated a second business in 2018 called Mindset Etiquette. Marcy released a children’s book, Nessy’s New Home, which discusses foster care and adoption. Proceeds from the book benefit Monroe county court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Marcy was a contributor to the Green County Community Event Center, which opened in 2015; the project committee honored her by asking her to name the exhibition hall in the center, which she named Hershey Hall after her father.
In recognition of Marcy’s philanthropy to IU, the IU Foundation presented her with the Presidents Circle Laurel Pin in 2018.
