Dori Eskenazi Meyers earned her bachelor's degree from Ithaca College in 1984. Afterwards, she worked several years as a professional stage manager and arts festival producer before moving to Chicago to work in the president's office of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Since leaving the foundation, her time has been spent as a full-time mother and volunteer with KIDSS for Kids, a nonprofit organization dedication to supporting the Family Services Programs at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.
Dori, along with her siblings, established the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Chair in Hematology/Oncology at the IU School of Medicine in 2015. Meyers has also supported the Department of Medicine, Herron School of Art & Design, among other designations. In 2019, Meyers received Indiana University's Bicentennial Medal in recognition of her distinguished contributions.
