- School of Optometry Foley House Basement Key Award - 2004
Dr. Chuck Haine has had a long academic career at Indiana University. He graduated IU with bachelor degrees in Psychology and Optometry in 1971 and 1972, completed a Doctor of Optometry in 1974, and earned a Master of Science in Physiological Optics in 1975. Haine has distinguished himself not only as a great educator at Southern College of Optometry and supporter of IU School of Optometry, but also by his work in the VA system, the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, and in the development of the Optometric Residency Matching System.
In 2004, Dr. Haine was presented with the Indiana University School of Optometry Foley House Basement Key Award which recognizes an alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and/or service to the IU School of Optometry.
