- School of Optometry Foley House Basement Key Award - 2002
Dr. Douglas C. Morrow graduated IU with a B.S. and Doctor of Optometry in 1975 and 1977 respectively. He is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, American Diabetic Association and the American Public Health Association. Morrow serves as a volunteer for the Indiana Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association, and volunteers for the American Optometric Association on the Eye Care Benefits Committee. He is also an AOA representative on the American Medical Association CPT Health Care Profession Advisory Committee.
In 2002, Morrow was presented with the Indiana University School of Optometry Foley House Basement Key Award which recognizes an alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and/or service to the IU School of Optometry.
In 2006, Dr. Morrow was appointed to the Indiana Optometry Board (IOB) by Governor Mitch Daniels. The IOB is the State of Indiana's regulatory board for optometry. Through his career, Dr. Morrow has been honored with the Distinguished Service Award, the Meritorious Service Award, and the Optometrist of the Year Award by the Indiana Optometric Association.
