About Micol Seigel

Micol Seigel, a professor in the IU Bloomington College of Arts and Sciences' Department of History, was named the Fulbright Distinguished Chair in International Relations at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, where she taught an undergraduate course in the summer of 2018 which focused on race, class and the prison system in the United States. Seigel also traveled for research, spoke at other universities and held discussions with a group of people on work release from prisons across the country's Paulista metropolitan region.
