Larry Singell served Indiana University Bloomington as the Dean and Executive Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences from 2011 to 2019. During his tenure at IUB, Dr. Singell oversaw the creation of the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies; the Media School; the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design; many new academic degrees, and worked closely with the IU Grand Challenges program, which addresses large-scale problem facing society.
Prior to coming to IUB, Dr. Singell was a Professor of Economics at the University of Oregon, where he also served as the associate Dean for social sciences. In 2019, Dr. Singell was appointed Senior Vice Provost for Resource Management at the University of Texas, Austin.
