About Benjamin Bochnowski

Benjamin Bochnowski earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, and an M.B.A. from the ESADE business school in Barcelona, Spain. He is also a graduate of the ABA stonier Graduate School of Banking, and earned a leadership certificate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Bochnowski is president and CEO of Peoples Bank, Munster. Additionally, he is CEO of NorthWest Indiana Bancorp, for which he has been serving as a director since 2014. He joined the bank in 2010, was named president and chief operating officer in 2015, and then promoted to CEO of the bank and holding company in 2016.

Bochnowski is active in the community, and serves on the Membership Council of the American Bankers Association, as well as locally on the board of directors of One Region, and also volunteers with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, an organization that prepares taxes for low and moderate income citizens. He is a Board Member at the Dunes National Park Association, and serves as a mentor for the Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Veterans with Disabilities at Purdue University in Lafayette. In 2019, Bochnowski was awarded Indiana University's Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of his service to the university and the Northwest campus as an advisory board member.
