Bruce Hack received a B.A. in Government from Cornell University and earned an M.B.A. in Finance from University of Chicago. He is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council at the Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University, and an emeritus board member of IU's Media School (COAS).
Hack is founder and CEO of BLH Venture, LLC, a provider of strategy and operating advice to media and entertainment companies. He is a director on both public and private boards, including Technicolor (TCH), MiMedx Group (MDXG) and a variety of online and mobile firms. Previous roles include vice chairman of Activision Blizzard, the largest video game company in the world, CEO of Vivendi Games, vice chairman of the Board, Universal Music Group, the world's largest music company, and CFO of Universal Studios. After serving as an international trade negotiator at the U.S. Treasury in Washington, D.C., Hack joined the Seagram Company Ltd., and held a variety of high leadership positions.
Hack's decades of experience and success have led to much recognition and accolades. He guest lectures on leadership and entrepreneurship at Stanford, Princeton, Yale and Cornell Universities. In 2019, Hack was honored with Indiana University's Bicentennial Medal in recognition of his distinguished support of the university.
