John Timothy Morris received a B.S. in finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. Morris was active on the Student Athletic Board, serving as president during his senior year. Morris was on the Kelley School’s Dean’s Council and the IU Center for Real Estate Studies Advisory Board and he currently serves as a member of Indiana University Foundation’s board of directors.
Morris is a founder and partner of Proprium Capital Partners, a real estate investment advisory firm that has more than $2 billion in assets under management. Prior career experience includes more than two decades at Morgan Stanley where he served as managing director, global chief financial officer, global chief operations officer, head of Asia and co-head of Europe for Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing business, and as the chief investment officer for Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Special Situations family of Funds.
In 2019, Morris was awarded Indiana University’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of his distinguished contributions and longstanding support of the university.
