Robyn Black received a B.A. in sociology from Indiana University South Bend. Black’s commitment to IU has remained strong long after her time as a student. Black is a life member of the Indiana Alumni Association and sits on the board of directors for the IU South Bend Alumni Association as the representative for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Black currently works as a secular celebrant for Secular Services. In this role, Black has been certified and can legally perform marriages in multiple states, including Indiana, for those looking for a religion-free ceremony. She also collects data and provides analysis for not-for-profit NGO's like the Food Bank of Northern Indiana. Previous experience includes serving as a store manager for the Dollar Tree corporation.
In 2019, Black was awarded Indiana University’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of her service and support of the university.
