Mautrice Meriweather received a B.A. in English and an M.A. in communication, both from Indiana University. Meriweather has remained connected to IU in many ways, including serving as president of the IU School of Liberal Arts Search Committee for several years.
Meriweather is currently serving as the Chief Talent Officer of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). She leads the organization’s human capital efforts, ensuring that the national office is attracting and retaining high-quality talent while also creating opportunities for growth and professional development for the NFHS national office and state association offices. Meriweather has been a member of the NFHS management staff for almost two decades, including serving as manager of executive affairs and staff relations. She is highly respected by the NFHS state leadership and recognized by leaders of many professional organizations in the city of Indianapolis.
Meriwether holds many professional memberships, as well as a certification in human resource management. Meriweather currently supports the IU Alumni Association’s executive council and the School of Liberal Arts search committee as a member of both. In 2019, Meriweather was honored with IU’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of her distinguished contributions and service.
