Stacie Richter received a B.A. in broadcast journalism from Indiana University. She currently serves as president of IU Alumni Association’s Twin Cities Chapter.
Richter is co-owner and vice president of Transit Team, Inc. Transit Team is a paratransit company that serves the elderly and disabled community in the Twin Cities. Through the state of Minnesota and the Metropolitan Council, the company operates multiple Metro Mobility contracts. Richter’s previous experience includes working as a private operations manager and customer service manager. Richter also had a career reporting, anchoring and producing as a news anchor for KVEW Your Local ABC TV. She has extensive community relations experience, as well as an effective way of communicating with people.
Committed to helping the community, Richter also serves as vice president for TRAIL (Transportation Resource to Aid Independent Living) which provides transportation for adults with developmental disabilities living in Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield. Richter also serves as a member of the IU Alumni Association’s executive council. In 2019, Richter was awarded Indiana University’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of her distinguished service.
