About Sharmaine Ellison

Three-time alumna Sharmaine Ellison received an associate and bachelor’s degree in nursing, as well as an MPM, all from Indiana University Kokomo.

Ellison currently serves as an occupational health nurse at FCA. Ellison’s three degrees were spread throughout a career as a nurse for over three decades, as she expanded and built upon her role in quality resources. She serves as the IUAA Kokomo Region’s Board President, and is also a member of the Indiana University Alumni Association’s Executive Council. A member of the alumni board since 2001, she has served as vice president, secretary, and co-chaired the Senior Salute. Ellison is also a member of the IUAA Executive Council. In 2019, Ellison was honored with Indiana University’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of her distinguished contributions and years of service to the university.
