Rex Gingerich received an undergraduate degree from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
Gingerich is CEO of Chariot Auto Group, and president of McGonigal Buick Cadillac Jeep. He and his family have been long-time leaders in automobile sales and service. He was instrumental in providing support for the expansion of Ivy Tech Kokomo’s new Automotive Center, which includes state-of-the-art classrooms and an automotive laboratory where students soon will be preparing for careers in the industry.
Gingerich and his family are active members of First Congregational Church and he is extensively involved in the community. Gingerich has held leadership roles in the Community Foundation of Howard County, the Kokomo YMCA, the Kokomo Purdue 400 Club, Rotary International, the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance, Bridges Outreach, Russiaville Youth Baseball, and the United Way. His service to the Ivy Tech Kokomo and IU Kokomo campuses have earned him multiple honors and awards, including in 2019 when he received IU’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of his distinguished contributions.
