About Steven Yin

Steven Yin is the director of IU's China Gateway as a part of the Global Gateway department. He previously served as the deputy director of the EducationUSA China program at the U.S. Embassy Beijing, where he was one of the founding members of the office and contributed significantly to developing EducationUSA China into a global role model within the EducationUSA network.

Yin has experience working with governments, higher education institutions, NGOs, and businesses in multiple countries.

Yin received the IU Bicentennial Medal in August 2020 in recognition of his distinguished service to Indiana University.
