Erik Gonzalez-Mule earned his B.S. in psychology and M.S. in management from the University of Florida in 2007 and 2010, respectively. Upon graduation, he continued his education at the University of Iowa where he earned a Ph.D. in management and organizations in 2015. He joined the Indiana University (IU) Kelley School of Business faculty as an assistant professor of management and entrepreneurship in 2015. In 2020, he was promoted to associate professor and earned the additional, honorary title of Eveleigh Professor of Business Leadership.
Gonzalez-Mule has instructed an array of courses at IU’s Kelley School of Business, including Integrated Core Leadership, Kelley Executive Partners, and a Ph.D. seminar titled Group Processes and Multilevel Issues. His areas of expertise include stress, individual differences, teamwork processes, and job performance.
Gonzalez-Mule has received several awards and honors to recognize his outstanding teaching and research career. He received the Eyster Innovation in Teaching Award from IU in 2017, the Human Resources Division Innovation in Teaching Award from the Academy of Management Conference in 2016, the Research Methods Division Best Paper Award from the Academy of Management Conference in 2013, and more. He is also a member of two professional organizations, including the Society for Industrial and Organization Psychology and the Academy of Management.
