Bicentennial Medal - 2020

About Andrew J. Young

Andrew "A.J." Young served as the director of the LGBTQ+ Center at IUPUI from 2018 to 2020. Young earned a bachelor's degree from American University, master's and Ph.D. from Temple University. Prior to coming to IUPUI, Young served as an adjunct professor and research assistant in sociology at Temple University. He is now the assistant director of global learning and assessment at the Institute for Study Abroad in Indianapolis, IN.

Young received the IU Bicentennial Medal in June 2020 in recognition of his distinguished service to IUPUI.
