Dennis J. Cromwell received a B.S. in mathematics and an MPA, both from Indiana University. His relationship with the university has continued throughout a thirty-year career.
Cromwell is an adjunct faculty member in the O’Neil School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and also serves as IU’s executive director of the media digitization and preservation initiative (MDPI). His role is central to integrating the initiative’s financial, technical, operational, relational, and entrepreneurial elements into a successful enterprise. Cromwell also serves as an associate vice president for constituent success, reporting to both the vice president for finance and chief financial officer and vice president for information technology and chief information officer. Prior experience at the university includes serving as associate vice president for multiple UITS divisions, including university information systems, enterprise infrastructure and client services and support.
Cromwell’s distinguished contributions and dedicated service have been recognized by the university; in 2020 and 2021, Cromwell was honored with IU’s Bicentennial Medal and Distinguished Service Medal.
