About Janet H. Latz

Janet H. Latz received the Thomas Hart Benton Mural Medallion posthumously from Indiana University in May 1999. Latz, who was a tireless advocate for the arts, was being recognized for her distinction in public service, her service to IPFW and IU, and her abiding commitment to the search for knowledge. Latz was a committed volunteer and actively served on the boards of many local organizations, including the IPFW School of Fine and Performing Arts Community Advisory Council, which she chaired for many years. Latz passed away on Jan. 19, 1999.
