About John D. Barlow

John D. Barlow served as dean of IUPUI’s School of Liberal Arts beginning in 1987. Barlow, a professor of German, was one of IUPUI’s founding faculty, teaching courses in English, German, communication and theatre, film, and philanthropic studies. The John D. Barlow Lecture series, sponsored by the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI, was established in 1998 to honor the career of John D. Barlow as he retired.
