Andrew Miclot received a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences, and an M.A. in Audiology from Indiana University. He also earned an M.B.A. from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. His relationship with Indiana University, and the greater community of the state of Indiana, has spanned his entire career. Miclot currently serves on the Indiana University Arts and Sciences Alumni Board.
Miclot is serving as vice chairman and president at Wishbone Medical Inc. Miclot has almost 40 years of global medical device experience. Specifically, he is experienced and successful in orthopedics, spine, arthroscopy, trauma, soft goods, ENT, OMF, dental, ophthalmology, cardiovascular, endoscopy, powered and manual instruments, electro surgical instruments, neuro, biologics, wound care, custom products and others. With a proven career record of building world-class management teams, surpassing revenue and profit objectives, and increasing market positions, Miclot has been president and CEO of several medical device companies with executive leadership positions, and has had success in early stage companies as well as IPO and Fortune 500 arenas. He previously served as president and CEO of Micro Machine, and general manager ENT /senior vice president and officer of ArthroCare and director of medical products at DePuy Orthopedics. Prior to DePuy, Miclot had several marketing and sales leadership positions at Zimmer for more than five years in three divisions; Patient Care, Hall Surgical and Trauma.
Miclot currently serves as director of three Boards; WishBone Medical, Micro Machine, and Precision Optics (Public Company). He was one of a small group of founders in "The Institute of Orthopedic Enlightenment" started by Knowledge Enterprises, and Miclot has been the key note speaker and panel discussion leader at several Orthopedic and ENT conferences. In 2019, Miclot received Indiana University's Bicentennial Medal in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the university.
