John W. Ryan Award for Distinguished Contributions to International Programs and Studies
Initiated in 1991, this award is named for the late Indiana University President Emeritus John W. Ryan, who led the university from 1971 to 1987 and was instrumental in fostering IU’s commitment to excellence in international education. The Award honors Indiana University faculty members who have made exceptional contributions to the university's international programs and engagement. One award is given annually to tenure-line, full-time faculty members who may represent any IU campus. The award is given based on nominations, for which a dossier is required.
The award will be presented at the Celebration of Distinguished Teaching and Service and accompanied by a certificate and a cash award.
