IU has built a legacy of athletic excellence since the first organized sport, baseball, was created in 1867. In 1982 the Varsity Club and the I Association created the IU Athletics Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame honors players, coaches, and administrators whose achievements have helped raise the prestige and build a tradition of excellence at Indiana University. These honorees exemplify the true spirit of athletic competition and what it means to be a Hoosier.
